When we proclaim that Jesus Matters Most, it has many applications to all our lives, to our church, and to our community. This is the motto of our Fellowship, and it governs all that we do. It reminds us that He is Lord of everything, not we ourselves. We too often think that our opinions and preferences matter more than anything else, when the reality is that what He wants is most important.
The Lordship of Jesus is rooted in His preeminence in everything. The apostle Paul put it this way, "He Himself will have first place in everything" (Colossians 1:18); and "God highly exalted Him and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name" (Philippians 2:9).
We are a grace-based church, but we never want to lose sight of the fact that even the grace and freedom we have is a gift from the Almighty God of the universe who is Lord over all.
His mercy triumphs over judgment.
His grace is sufficient.
His lovingkindness is everlasting.
And in all things...

The recording of truth in the Bible was given by the inspiration of God, and it is complete and without error as originally given. Therefore, the Bible is the only authoritative and essential source for truth in all areas of life and faith.

Our story began in the early spring of 2013 when a number of us started meeting on Saturday nights for prayer, singing, and encouragement in the Lord. Our meeting place was the Green Acres elementary school adjacent to the George Mason University in Fairfax, VA. We came together to share our lives in a deeper way and to grow in our connection with Jesus.
Over a few months time, we began to wonder if we should organize ourselves in a more formal way, and after much prayer and discussion, our church, Fellowship 1 International, was officially opened on May 1st of that year. We continued to meet for worship on Saturday nights for two years, after which we switched locations to the Oak View elementary school just about a mile away. We also switched to a Sunday morning worship schedule at that time as well.
We continued at Oak View until March of 2020 when Covid shut everything down, and we began meeting via the online Zoom conference platform. What the future holds for us after Covid is not yet clear, but for now, we are a church online fellowship.
The past eight years have been good ones for us because of the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ. We have worshipped Him together, learned from His word, and shared His resources with those in need, both here in Virginia, as well as around the world. As long as the Lord allows, we will continue to worship and serve Him with thankful hearts.
